Veneers are thin, individually-sculpted porcelain facings bonded to the tooth
Veneers are thin, individually-sculpted porcelain facings crafted by a master technician and bonded to the tooth to create a new front surface.
They are used when teeth are too short, or disproportionate in length when compared to each other. They can also be used to cover severely stained teeth.
Veneers are considered to be the state–of–the–art and produced to match the shape, length and degree of whiteness required. Since they don’t stain, veneers can be used to correct many defects, including teeth that are badly stained, crooked or malformed.
While some patients have had veneers for 20 or more years, it is unrealistic to expect them to last forever. However, with good care, a porcelain veneer should last at least 10 to 15years.
